What are the best ways to improve FPS in wine wrappers?

Also, I heard that with Wine, the FPS drops around 10 FPS, I normally got 40-50 in Boompje, so will 30-40 effect the game much?

I find 30 fps to be just fine.
Additionally, we might be using Windows 7 instead of XP, so we could potentially gain fps that way.

Will there be any noticeable, excluding when Boompje had small lag spikes, such as every now and then a kill would lag me.

We won't be sure how the transition to Wine will affect gameplay for everyone - especially regarding lag. Best to just wait and try for yourselves. We are working on ironing out bugs at the moment like text not appearing, etc. Velkorious any ETA on the client? Maybe a few days? another week? thanks I wish I could, but we don't really know. This is the first time we're trying to run LoL with Wine. We have gotten into games, but it's still buggy. Ultimately it depends how many bugs pop up and how easy it is to find fixes for them. We want to release it in a playable state.

I was playing at an already low 20-25 fps with the boompje client. So it seems with the new client, it will be unplayable for me at 10-15 fps guess my LoL playing days are numbered /sigh

Ok, a few questions and statements 1) The latest we will have to wait to play on this wine wrapper is February 5th (just a random number) or will it be coming sooner or in some months. Now i am talking a fully functional client thats 98% bug free 2) You say that there would be a minimal 10 fps drop. Can this be fixed over some time? 3) Was Riot really trying to completely block the mac client? intentionally or accidental? 4) How many mb or gigs will the new wine wrapper be to download? Estimate? 5) RIP boompje's client and ILoL? 6) You men and or women have an honourable soul 7) And we thank you =D

I can't really answer all of these, because your guess is as good as mine. The ones I can answer...
Compared to the previous clients, it won't be significantly different.
Boompje, yes. iLoL, definitely not.

Thank you so much for all your work, hope it comes to open beta/release soon! Glad to hear that Riot won't have a reason to mess with this either.
