Riot working on the mac client for long time? ya, they have been working on one since probably before they closed the old one. Since it is going to be a long term solution, it'll probably take a while before it's finished Riot is saying that for a long time now... wouldn't get your hopes up tbh. But, will Apple allow it? Heard that a while back Call of Duty wanted to make a version for Mac's but Apple didn't allow it. Because only Apple may make Apple products or something like that.

That doesn't make sense. I use Google Chrome and I'm pretty sure it's an application made by Google.

shn9, you mistake an apple product for an application running on OSX. Everybody can make an app running on OSX whatever the app is doing. Apple can't stop a game to be released for OSX. She could just block it from being released with the Mac App Store for instance.

Will the Ziggs and future patches break iLoL even more?Extremely unlikely. The Sejuani patch broke it because Riot had a legal obligation to block the mac client. The mac client has a good history of working just fine with other patches. So they are not obliged to block us anymore? Because if they are, they will do it and this will keep happening.

diegocp, while this has probably been stated, the reason that Riot is no longer obliged to block us is because the game is now using a Wine wrapper instead of a Cider wrapper. Riot had a contract with transgaming (part of the Cider wrapper I believe) that legally obligated them to shut down any client running using transgaming (like the previous Mac Client). This has all been solved due to the fact that they are using a Wine wrapper this time around.

So they are not obliged to block us anymore? Because if they are, they will do it and this will keep happening. We are no longer using transgaming's Cider technology, so they will not try to block us anymore.

any recommended fan speed for SMC? I always put it on 6000 when I play it runs sometimes to 6400 but place it at 6000 and to make sure it's alright I would put something on the botton top of the mac just so the fans would blow through. Usually then, the temp goes to near...7X-8X which is alright I guess. But yeah, try to get it to 6000 and play on a solid surface, not like on a bed or anything that warms up the mac. As for the thing that can be used to put on the bottom of the computer, I would recommend a book, an unused cell phone, basically a solid object that's about 1-2 inches thick. I hope this helped

O.O Yeah. it might be kinda...unorthodox but my brother has an old spare he doesn't use so I just use it to lift the computer and it works better then the books I stack because the books gets heated somehow, while the cellphone doesn't. And because of it's metal outer shell it keep cool But yeah, there are many others things that'll work. I apologize if the cellphone was misleading...sorry!
