The stream was great, watched several times now! Can't wait to play some LoL again! I noticed Boompje recommended using SMC fancontrol. What setting do you guys normally run? Was just wondering this myself. I just downloaded it and it's a pretty nice layout, just wanna know what settings would be best to use.

We usually run Higher RPM setting or just a little higher. I run on Max, depending on what my computer feels like. It depends from user to user.

Now this is exactly where I queried about the fan control in a thread. At what point is it too much? I can sometimes play 3-5 games in a row - is this too much for the fans to take?

Running above speed at all will kill it faster. It's not how much time you play in a row. Comuter fans are designed for specific RPM's and number of revolutions in lifetimes. Running faster degrades it's life faster than it would normally, it's just the facts.

So pretty much it seems like if you don't NEED to use the fan control at a higher than default saying then do not do it correct?

Some people says it's better, but I hear / read a lot of negative reactions on the fan control. I'm just gonna wait and see for myself how it turns out without the fans. I don't play that much games because of school, so I probably won't need it. I hope.

I don't know much about stuff like that. But I rather play less games then mess with stuff on my mac that I know nothing of. Since the settings differ from machine to machine, it's hard to ask what numbers you should choose. Better to stay away from it then, I think.
