Whoever that guy is who said not to created any new threads could you please read this before you delete it.
I want to create this thread that only had questions and answers to you and from you (hopefully if you don't delete it). I don't want another thread that has the exact same comment on something by thousands of different people over and over again.
I'll start off with a question to you guys to kick things off.
Seeing as you're the only guys offering a Mac client for LoL can't you at least try to contact Riot asking why they are trying to block Mac users from playing LoL?
I find it stupid seeing as they are blocking a massive community of Mac users playing LoL therefore cutting off another income from things such as Riot points. Unless the are bound by a contract to Microsoft not to allow Mac users access to this game because then I wouldn't blame them (but still be pissed off that they agreed to signed it).
Well please respond to this thread LoL on Mac administrators and the community as well. I and probably everyone registered in this site hope to play LoL on our Macs soon.

Hey man,
Just for the record, I don't speak for these guys, but if you read the post: "Official Response on Sejuani Patch!" it says that:
2). We don't know if Riot is deliberately trying to block us (which they may be legally required to do due to their contract with transgaming). This may just be a compatibility issue between macs and pcs.
As for contacting them, they have made many statements saying that they no longer intend to support a mac client at this time. They've never made an exception since they made that statement, there's no reason to believe they'll respond to requests for support this time.

Ok, first off, this probably belongs in General Discussion. To answer your question: The official answer we got from Riot as to why they decided to close the Mac Testing Beta originally back in September was "Sorry, but that's classified". Yes, I know thats a frustrating answer, but that's all we got. I would assume that they would tell us the same thing should we ask them again. That or they would just ignore us again. The Mac Client here is NOT their problem any longer.
However, and this is purely speculation, we think they were forced to shut down the client originally due to legal issues with Transgaming, the company that was originally hired to create the Mac Client for Riot. So, in a way yes, they were bound by contract (supposedly), you just got the company wrong.

Thanks a lot man for your response. It answered a lot and I saw the transgaming thing but didn't know what they meant. Anyway keep the comments coming (even though I said no comments). I meant (no comments) like I didn't want to see the same comment over and over.
I'm seriously thinking that this might be the end for LoL on the Mac but the annoying thing was I just got to lvl 30 and I wanted to play ranked. I bet there will be comments now saying that ranked was awesome to annoy me or saying that it sucked but you will never know now to annoy me as well.

Apparently, eventually Riot will release a Mac client when they can be bothered. But I think you may be right, bootcamp may be the only option if they have intentionally blocked us.

They said it was "classified"? Hard to imagine a more pompous, self important way of putting it really.

Hey Shiba,
Are you saying that the guys (transgaming) that were responsible for making the Mac beta client are trying to shut it down....wtf.
So now I should not be mad at Riot but Transgaming?
I would also like to add that these forums are very good. I didn't expect to get responses so quickly.

Well, we're all in the same boat. No mac client for any of us, so I doubt anyone here is in the mood to gloat.
Besides, normals are way more fun than ranked, with much less raging.

You can't be that angry with transgaming - they were being paid for a service, they stopped getting paid, so they don't want to continue the service (boompje has put a lot of work into the client for sure, but it is still transgaming's code, for the most part, that he's playing with).

Yea, as smooshable said, Transgaming did the majority of the work, Boompje and others just compiled a bunch of fixes together to improve it.
Also, we don't know if Transgaming actually wants to block it, as we dont know what the root of the problem is yet.

Huh have you got like a small company working on this? Global Moderator now Visual Techie. I thought thats what it would be like in ranked too competitive.
The only thing annoying about these threads is that I have to reload the page to see new posts so when a post a new comment there are several others already.

Well we do have a small team of LoL players dedicated to making a mac client work, and supporting it. I wouldn't call it a company; we're not paid. And not affiliated with Riot or transgaming either.

hehe thats great to know mate (about the company thing). It's good to know that you guys actually want to make this client because you're driven by passion and love for the game not just because its how you get paid although you should be paid for your trouble.
