Hey guys i just stumbled upon iLoL and I am super duper pumped that there are people out there trying to develop a means for the game to move over to mac.
I just wanted to clarify about the "beta" aspect. Once the new fixes are done and the new version is released, does it function as a somewhat typical beta where it I would need a key or an invite in order to play lol on my mac? I have seen in some places it referred to as an open beta, but didn't see anywhere official.
if anyone can clarify would be great, playing HoN right now for fun since it is available for mac but would really like to move into LoL soon.

Quote from Boompje posted on TwitterEdit: Just to prevent some confusion, the close beta will only last about 2 days

As kyotus said:
- We've selected people based on their contributions to either the client or THIS community. - The closed beta will only last a couple of days. - We are still in ALPHA testing phase right now, because it still doesn't work completely. - We will do a closed beta with those people. You can send me PM's or mails whatsoever, we won't have any more people in it, just because that would only make it harder to manage it and it would slow the process down.

After the closed beta, it will probably still be beta, because the client is still a bit buggy. But that does not mean, that you need a key or an invitation or something like that. You will be able to play as much as you like, the beta tag just indicates, that the client is probably not completely bug-free.
