So I am aware that iLol will not be supported for Leopard, but it should hopefully still work anyway. My question is does "not supported" mean we should not ask for help from the Lol on Mac team if we have problems, or will you still be able to help with minor bugs and such? I only ask because I don't want to waste your time, and you guys are doing a great job!

Why do you recommend using the fan control? does the computer get too hot with iLoL?
What are the problems of not using fan control?

I have another quick question. Can I expect iLol to run alright on my comp with these specs?
Hardware Overview:
Model Name: MacBook Model Identifier: MacBook4,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 3 MB Memory: 2 GB Bus Speed: 800 MHz
I am asking because I am thinking of buying Snow Leopard for iLol, but having the bare minimum 2 GB memory worries me a little. Would installing more memory be greatly beneficial?

fauchardAs you can see from my sig, my mac is an older model than yours. I did upgrade to snow leopard and bought extra RAM eight months ago, and I feel the all round performance increased a lot - I'm able to have more programs running at the same time, they load up faster, and with those applications my mac struggled prior to the upgrades it now works a lot better with the extra RAM boost. I recommend the extra RAM and I think its worth the extra money - more economical futureproofing than buying a brand new model now.

Thanks for the help Basod. I think that I will upgrade to Snow Leopard, but I might hold off on extra RAM because I might get a new computer when I start college next fall.

I'd take it to an apple store and let them have a look at it.
If you can show them a DVD that doesn't work on your mac (hopefully a laptop), but will work on their computer, they'll get you a new hard drive.

I'm probably going to be upgrading from 10.5 Leopard to either Snow Leopard or Lion, hopefully tomorrow.
Does anyone have a recommendation on one or the other? Any complaints? Just kind of trying to figure out which one is better off at this point.
